All versions of VSI ENVMGR check for a license PAK from VMS Software, Inc. You must have a license PAK from VMS Software, Inc. to use this product.

VSI ENVMGR V1.9-2, V1.9-3, V1.9-4, and V1.9-5 were not released.

2. Fixed Issues

VSI ENVMGR V1.9-6 has no code changes from version V1.9-1 of ENVMGR. What did change is the mechanism by which ENVMGR is built; most of the DECset products now follow a common build and packaging procedure.

VSI ENVMGR V1.9-1 had the following fix:

Under rare circumstances, the installation verification procedure (IVP) for VSI ENVMGR V1.9 would give the following error:

%DCL-W-UNDSYM, undefined symbol - check validity and spelling
\DECSET$ENVMGR_IVP_DEL_FILES\

This problem has been corrected.

VSI ENVMGR V1.9 had the following fix:

The DECwindows interface to the Environment Manager now works as expected. It did not work in the prior two releases of HP DECset for IA-64 systems. It did work correctly on Alpha systems.

However, when the DECwindows interface to ENVMGR terminates, an access violation happens, creating the files DECSET$ENVMGR_ERR.LOG and DECSET$ENVMGR_OUT.LOG in the directory SYS$LOGIN:. This misbehaviour also exists in HP DECset V12.8 ECO1. It did not happen in HP DECset V12.8 ECO2 or ECO3 for IA-64 systems because, as noted above, the DECwindows interface did not work in those two versions. This misbehaviour did exist on HP DECset V12.8 ECO2 or ECO3 for Alpha systems.

The access violation does not result in a loss of data.
