VSI TCP/IP Services Version V6.0 or later

If you intend to use the remote functions to access other Performance Management Managers running on standalone nodes or in different VMS Clusters, you must install either DECnet Phase IV or DECnetPlus (both are included in the VSI OpenVMS V9.2-3 distribution).
3. Changes in This Release
This section describes the differences between VSI Performance Management V3.1-1 and the previous versions of the Performance Management product on the Alpha and IA-64 architectures.
3.1. Changes in Performance Management Manager
The names of command procedures are now prefixed with the string "PERF" instead of "UPM". For example, a script that is named UPM$MANAGER$STARTUP.COM on Alpha and IA-64 is named PERF$MANAGER$STARTUP.COM on x86-64.
Important
The legacy startup and shutdown procedures PSDC$STARTUP.COM and PSDC$SHUTDOWN.COM have been changed to call PERF$MANAGER$STARTUP.COM and PERF$MANAGER$SHUTDOWN.COM, respectively.
3.2. Changes in Performance Management Agent
The names of command procedures are now prefixed with the string "PERF" instead of "UPM". For example, a script that is named UPM$MANAGER$STARTUP.COM on Alpha and IA-64 is named PERF$MANAGER$STARTUP.COM on x86-64.
3.3. Corrections to Problems Reported in the Field Test Release
This section lists the problems corrected in the field test release for VSI Performance Management V3.1-1.
The timer driver is now working and will be loaded when the agent is started.
The manager uninstall will remove the manager specific options from DCLTABLES since it must be removed first due to its dependency upon the agent. The agent uninstall will now remove the ADVISE verb and all command options from DCLTABLES.
