1. Introduction
VMS Software Inc. (VSI) is pleased to introduce VSI Terminal Data Management System (TDMS) T2.4 for the VSI OpenVMS x86-64 operating system. This is the second field test release of this product.
2. Release Notes
VSI TDMS T2.4 is functionally equivalent to the most recent version of this product on OpenVMS Alpha (V2.1-1) and OpenVMS IA-64 (V2.1-2), as well as to earlier field test kits of VSI TDMS on x86-64.
Note
The text in help files, display screens, or other areas may still refer to HP as the producer of this product. Those texts will be modified in a future release.
3. Requirements
VSI TDMS T2.4 can be installed by a suitably privileged user on an OpenVMS system that meets the following minimum software requirements:
VSI OpenVMS x86-64 Version 9.2-3
VSI Data Dictionary (VDD) Version D1.2
4. Licensing
You must have a license PAK from VMS Software, Inc. to use this product. For this field test, a temporary evaluation license will be provided.
5. Installing
VSI TDMS T2.4 is provided as an OpenVMS PCSI kit that can be installed by a suitably privileged user.
During installation, you will be prompted several times for different installation options. For this field test, VSI recommends that you take the default for the options that are not explicitly mentioned below.
To start the installation, enter the following command:
